I just ruined DHs brand new sweater
Yep, it was 100% wool and I didn't read that before washing. Guess who it fits now - my FIVE year old!

Ooh, I hate when I do that! The charity I give clothes to must wonder why I have "business casual" children's clothes!

Re: I just ruined DHs brand new sweater
You could take it to the cleaners and have it "blocked out" to a bigger size. They can do that, and at least it would fit you

Re: I just ruined DHs brand new sweater
I did that to dh's favourite merano wool sweater last week. I was in too much of a hurry and quickly put 2 piles of clothes on the floor together for one load...forgetting a the moment why that sweater was in a different pile.

you gotta do it at least once as the laundry goddess, it's the rule of averages. See when presented like that, you know there was nothing you could do...it was going to happen eventually.
