Wednesday 5 minute challenge
OK, it's that time again. Let's get started.
And just in case there are some newbies, a 5 minute challenge means that you get up from the computer, set a timer for 5 minutes (or not ) and clean something. Then you come back & post what you did so that this thread comes back in our "new replies" and encourages us to get up & do more. |

Re: Wednesday 5 minute challenge
I will make goals later. I will have to think about them, since normally I am trying to get out from under a mound of dishes and clean my kitchen, but since I don't have to do that, I will have to think.
I just finished putting away some clean dishes that were in the drainer.

Re: Wednesday 5 minute challenge
I was having a little Crop this morning with my aunt-in-law, visiting for a few days to break up their drive from Michigan to Florida (and not to return until April!) so my house is pretty tidy since I had company, but now I have some cleaning to do...
My list The continuing sagas of laundry & dishes * empty d/w, reload the few things that are waiting * 2 loads of laundry to start * 2 loads of laundry to finish And since I didn't do these last week, I *must* do them today... * Clean master bedroom * Clean kids bedroom * Clean guest bedroom More scrapbooking this evening @ my IL's house |

Re: Wednesday 5 minute challenge
My first time to participate, it was very motivating!
In my five minutes I.... Dumped three full (mounded) laundry baskets of clean clothes and towels on my bed to sort and put away. I know I can't sleep until it's done, so it is the best way for me to get started! Started a new load of laundry to wash (now all will be clean). Stopped Gail from spooning ice cream from her bowl onto a dishrag (she was trying to fish out all the "stuffs in it"). Picked up Gail's towel from her bath and hung it to dry, likewise with mine. At least our bodies are squeaky clean here! Found FIVE books laying on top of the washing machine and put them on the bookshelf. I'd already read them... while using the bathroom or taking a bath, it is the only chance I get to read peacefully. Discovered a bunch of riff-raff in a laundry basket on top of the dryer... old CDs and stuff I'd cleaned out of my car, towels I'd torn for rags, sheets that don't even fit our new bed, etcetera. There is very little room in our 12x65 foot mobile home to just "put" stuff, so things just seem to gravitate toward the top of the dryer. But my timer went off before I could tackle it, and I wanted to be honest, so I came back here to type what I DID get done! Wednesdays are traditionally the main laundry day for me, thus the focus on laundry for my challenge. Our church serves a meal every Wednesday night before AWANA (we're Sparks leaders, Gail is in Puggles), so I don't have to worry about cooking. Leaves me time to focus on a BIG chore like laundry. I also have to make sure our AWANA shirts are all clean. Thanks for the motivation! I suppose I could do it again later? -Shawna |
