Where to donate encyclopedias?
I have an old set of encyclopedias I'd like to donate. We NEVER use them and truth be told, they can use the internet or the library set if we need it.
Goodwill and thrift shops don't take them

Re: Where to donate encyclopedias?
try selling them on etsy. Tons of scrapbookers and people who revamp books into journals and/or use text plus other components would buy them. Cardmakers too.

Re: Where to donate encyclopedias?
oops sorry yes it's likely. You could post them on craigslist or freecycle for free or maybe even try ebay if you'd like to test the water and market it towards the book reconstruction crowd.

Re: Where to donate encyclopedias?
How old are they? You might be better off recycling them instead.

Re: Where to donate encyclopedias?
1988 - definitely recycle them. Sometimes books outlive their life and need to be disposed of properly instead of kept in the chain of 'stuff'. I would call your local library and ask how you would recycle hardbound books - they should be able to point you to somewhere in your community where you could drop them off.
