A big blister on my lip after going to the dentist

I went to the dentist for a cleaning today, and the hygeniest was extremely gentle, and did an excellent job... then 5 minutes after leaving the office, I noticed an enormous blister on my lip!!! It wasn't painful, just REALLY big, and made talking and eating rather awkward... I have NO clue what caused it... I didn't have any freezing or anything and I don't recall her hurting me... At one point I did notice that when her finger touched my lip it burned a bit... Is there anything toxic that dentists use for cleaning that might have "burned" my lip enough to cause a blister?! I should mention this was a university dental clinic and the hygeniest is graduating in a couple weeks...

I used to get these as a kid....not sure what causes them...may just be the stretching..I used ot get them when they used the rubber dam.....

well, it was gone within 24 hours, and other than being inconvenient, not such a big deal... hope it doesn't happen again! lol You're probably right about the stretching, she was reefing (sp?) on my lips a good deal...
