Re: March Dinners
I think I'll try that tonight with rice and roasted veggies. Did you cook 30 min with boneless thighs?

Re: March Dinners
Southwestern Pulled Chicken with Cilantro Lime Slaw tonight. It's in the crockpot. The house already smells so good I'm wishing it'd be ready in time for lunch!

Re: March Dinners
I find that thighs are much more forgiving than white meat.
bananacake, I enjoyed Danielle's cookbook as well as the books she mentions at that link by Andie Mitchell. That bbq meal looks really good!

Re: March Dinners
I thought we were going to get to go out tonight but it looks like not. DH said he was hungry for burgers and would pick up stuff for that on his way home I kind of want to make them different--not just basic cheddar + ketchup but, like, caramelized onions and garlic aioli or something. Maybe even bacon...my kids LOVE bacon cheeseburgers and we never ever put bacon on burgers at home. We'll see if I actually have the motivation/energy to make that happen later this afternoon
Prob we'll do sweet potato fries and salads with the burgers.

It's very good! I had a hard time finding pure liquid smoke online. If you don't already have some, make sure to read the ingredients. I found some near the BBQ sauce at a regular grocery store. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: March Dinners
I got a couple of cookbooks from the library, including one with 365 salad recipes. Many have grains, legumes or dairy, but there are enough without to sift through. And then 2 cookbooks I've already borrowed and need to review again

Re: March Dinners
I liked it well enough. It didn't seem to over harden the shells and they actually got a little softer where the meat mixture was touching. They didn't seem to break as much, which I liked. My two taco eating kids liked them. Dh said it was too many beans, though he did get seconds.

Re: March Dinners
I have started to slowly implement the children planning and prepping some of our meals. Today was dd2 (10). She made brats, mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy (from scratch!), and steamed carrots and green beans.
