Baby shower gift ideas?

We're on a no-spend period right now but I've got a double baby shower in a week and a half. Ideas for things I could make with possible things I have on hand?
Any and all ideas would be appreciated!

Pacifier pouches are something small or make crinkle paper with two pieces of cloth in a small square seen together. With wax paper or freezer paper in between. Do you know the sex of the babies?

Where do we start - sewing machine or knitting needles?

Also, what do you have on hand?

I can sew and have all manner of fabric tidbits on hand. I can knit but I'm slooooow. I crochet much faster. I've got a random assortment of yarn too.

Babies are already born. A boy (third boy in the family) and a girl (first girl, after three boys).

How well do you know the other women at the party?
A collection of cards,one per woman in a photo album you have but have never filled? Funny bits of advice and wisdom....
You could decorate the front.
I was given one at both my bridal and baby shower and they are treasured.

If you have fleece, it makes great but cloths. You can probably find some simple crochet patterns on ravelry for hats.

Those cute little hats you make (like the one you made for ds3). The little shoes/booties you have made before. A teething giraffe. A tag blanket. Car seat cover.

If you have random natural wooden beads(large ones) string them on large string or leather lace as a first toy. You can rub the wooden beads with olive oil.
