Ideas for Heartburn?
I have bad heartburn (I get it off and on, anyway, but pregnancy kicks it up big time). I usually just drink milk and call it good, but milk hasn't been agreeing with me since getting pregnant. I'm sick of tums and would like to put off any prescription meds at least a little longer, if possible. I'm willing to try anything once.

I think papaya enzymes are supposed to help.

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
That is what I was going to suggest, too. Even in pregnancy I don’t get a lot of heartburn, but when I do they help.

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
A tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar in a glass of water always fixed mine.

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
I will second the suggestion to not drink anything during meals. It makes a huge difference for me.

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
If you want to try homeopathy, try the cell salt called Nat Phos. (Not in the little blue tubes, but in a bigger container in the homeopathy section.)
You can also try Nux Vomica 30c

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
I'd like to second the papaya enzymes! They helped me a lot when I was pregnant with dd2.
I've heard milk can actually aggravate heartburn. |

Re: Ideas for Heartburn?
It probably depends on the person. It's an absolute life saver for me. A glass of milk can completely kill it for hours. But, no milk for me right now.
