I'm taking the get-it-ready-by-Friday challenge and will take pics of whatever I have.

So far, I have a folder... on the computer... of docs and pdfs I've pulled from this thread for ideas. I plan on sitting down in the quiet of the evening and put something together.

And Anita, your binder rocks!

I'm serious that I think there's a market for this kind of individualized binder. Like on Etsy, kind of a 'themed' scrapbook binder. Just saying.

It will be fun to see how different each binder turns out.

I have looked at some of the forms on different websites and they appeal to me in a way, but I don't know forms seem like work to me....you know everything filled out in triplicate with the pink copy and the canary copy... a little to segmented.

So I worked on mine last night; all I have are lists Lists for what to do in the morning, lists for what to do at night, lists of foods we like to eat...there has to be a better way to organize this information

I guess it does suit me, I've always been a list maker...love my lists

Lists appeal to me too! My to-do's are mostly just check lists.

I Love all these ideas! I love to be organized. Although, I have found it is better if I just make notes daily to make my big lists smaller. It also helps my husband out too. There are so many awesome ideas on here!

Is there a way we can share our form/list ect. with eachother? I have a daily form I fill out each day that I am loving to use the night before to kind of prep my head for the next day. I would love to share it but have no idea how. Also many of you have mentioned your own forms or checklist ect. and I would love to get some more ideas from them. Let me know if there is someway to share word or pdf documents??? Thanks!

this is one I like http://www.realsimple.com/home-organ...0000000000953/

I have a trouble with schedules, where you have to do things at certain times, but routines i like better. First this, and then this. Just a certain order to do things in the morning/afternoon. Making sure the most important things are done first, not worrying about dusting or mopping if the dishes aren't done, you know?

Sure! I got the idea from a kid's safety website (can't remember where)... It has...

full name, nick names
age, ht, wt (this should be updated yearly)
parents names
address, phone number
birthday, race, color of skin, hair color, eye color, blood type
identifying marks/features
medical conditions, medications, allergies
Emergency contact
Doctor, insurance carrier
current photo attached

This sheet can be copied and given to babysitters or anyone who takes care of your child, and is handy if (God forbid!) your child was lost...some of this stuff is pretty obvious, but you never know when someone, even dad may need the info and you're not available right away.

That's a great list...even with little time limits so it's not so overwhelming!

I've done it before...just can't remember how! That would be neat to have them all in one place, too.

Anita, what a great idea for the kids' info. My dh could use it in his phone. Today he had to fill out some info and called me to verify birth dates.

Personally, I'd be just as happy to create a .zip file to email to anyone who wants to see what I've done...one less site for me to join the better.
