FWIW - I've heard you're supposed to pick a puppy that's in-between - not the most hyper but also not the most "calm." Something about the most calm ones often have unknown health problems and the most hyper usually stay hyper and sometimes get worse.

I am so glad!

I have had exactly one puppy who came home and was my eager, polite, goofy little shadow. They are ah-maze-ING. Mine was a big mellow boy too.
