So, one of the GCMothers here has a wonderful, concise, insightful blog post that I thought would encourage all the mamas here raising toddlers especially (although, it is good reading for all the mamas in general)...
Katiekind has a beautiful blog and lots of wisdom to share as she has "been there, done that" while most of us are "in the throws" (so to speak

So, Grace-ful Parenting of Toddlers - an excerpt:

Instead of thinking in terms of “that deserves a punishment,” think about the behavior as a sign that the children need to be equipped and taught to make a better decision. If they are whining, show them a better tone of voice. If they are hitting, show them how to negotiate for what they want or take turns.
