Post migraine *whimper*

Had a migraine yesterday afternoon. Today my eyes are sore, my ears are sore, my temples are sore, my scalp is sore. The light is still really annoying me. Nothing seems good to eat.

I have eaten so far - some potato chips and guacamole, 2 pieces of gingerbread.

What *should* I be eating? Protein, or what? How can I get rid of the meds hangover? I think that's what this is. *whimper, whimper*

I had one yesterday.

I don't know. I haven't attempted to eat yet this morning because I don't want to throw up.

I usually just eat whatever sounds good, if anything does and drink a lot of water with several of my vitamins (I take a food based vite). Big hugs... I had to quit taking Rx meds for migraines because the hangover was so much worse with meds. Now I take Advil if I can't go straight to bed but otherwise just wing it.

I'm not sure which is worse really, the hangover with meds or wanting to die while the migraine is visiting.

Protein really helps me. It also helps me during the migraine. What meds do you take?

Paracetamol (Tylenol) / Ibuprofen combo and Maxalt (one of the triptans)

I never took them early enough yesterday though as nausea was first rather than the headache and I didn't realise it was going to come on. I was out as well (holding dh's hand as he was at the dentist

) and the journey home was awful.

Usually i just take a couple of days to recover but I have sooo much to do today.

oh yeah, Maxalt MLT worked so well for my migraines but the hangovers were awful.
