Just before it's opened. After that, it stays right side up. Usually in fridge.

If you use a mixer, hold the jar tightly or you will have a greasy MESS. Don't ask how I know

I seriously dont get the huge oil amounts in natural pb. We just grind peanuts down don't bother with oils and it stays nice and creamy no stirring storing upside down etc needed. Makes me wonder what gets added to these.

that jar in my pics says just peanuts and less than 1% salt for ingredients.. and I believe it, considering how incredibly DRY the bottom inch of the jar was... the oil at the top belonged down there It probably just sits for an incredibly long time before getting stuck on the shelf... yours is so fresh, it doesn't have a chance to separate like that!

My homemade PB takes MANY days to separate but it only does if it's at room temp. In the fridge it stays at a great consistency through the whole jar as long as it lasts!

I don't have a kitchen aid. Would a hand mixer do, do you think?

I empty the entire jar into a bowl and use a wire whisk to mix it, then put it back in the jar and store in the fridge.

I've used a fork or a potato masher.

As long as I've stored the jar upside down for awhile before we open it, I can stir it together with a table knife (butter knife? whatever you call the knife in a normal place setting of silverware). Once we get it well stirred, it stays blended even at room temperature at least for the length of time it takes us to use a jar
