Re: Household notebooks
I really need to revamp mine into something useful or figure out a better method (maybe electronic).

Re: Household notebooks
I don't use my binder much anymore I want to, but a lot of stuff I've noticed I'm more effecient at using in other ways (cleaning schedules on notice board, shopping lists on whiteboard etc) There isnt a whole lot in there anymore. I'm wondering what else I can put in

Re: Household notebooks
I know... WAAAAAY behind the times, but thinking of making one of these. I found myself a binder this morning (from my collection of stuffs), put some pretty yellow paper in the front from my old scrapbooking collection, and started brainstorming what I want in it.
I think I'm going to be different than most people.... I am going to do a month by month book. So far, I'm thinking of having a month calendar to write appts/events/activities on, a monthly meal plan (if I EVER get to making that happen), a budget worksheet for all the categories from Til Debt Do Us Part and a pocket for receipts to track our expenses for each month, a blog post schedule worksheet to keep myself all planned out with what I want to post more regularly! then I can also put in any paperwork for the month - like letters from our co-op board, stuff from various groups that the kids are in - like Beavers, etc. then every month is organized. Also thinking of having a phone/contacts/important dates section - because I have so many things pinned to my bulletin board haha. And maybe a master "to-do" and wish list. That's my plan anyway. Let's see how it actually works.

Re: Household notebooks
That is my fear. I'm a plan and prepper - not so much a doer. haha. Oh well. Just gonna do a month or 2 and see what happens.

Re: Household notebooks
That sounds like a great idea LisaMarie. It is best to make it do what works for you, rather than you try and fit it.
An advantage of doing it month by month is that when you get stuff you don't need to worry about just yet you have somewhere to put it. That way you don't have to keep thinking about it, or worry about losing it in the meantime! (Not that that would EVER happen here ) Nat xxx

Re: Household notebooks
Thanks! It's really coming along.
If all else falls apart, I'm excited to report that it has at the very least got me meal planning! I've successfully made a meal plan from now til January. Hoping to make a full 12 months! Chipping away!

Re: Household notebooks
I never got mine quite finished, but since we are now home schooling, I've got to get after it!

Re: Household notebooks
And after that you can reuse them! I don't stick with mine exactly, but it's a lot easier to make a meal plan when you've already got a whole month worth of meals in front of you.

Re: Household notebooks
I bought one at Walmart already pretty much organized. I added some stuff from Donnayoung.org and a pouch for coupons. I take it with me everywhere.
