Inst. for Writing Excellence has a K-2 program-- Any users?

I just found out about this last night, perusing the WTM board for science curriculum.

The PAL program is the K-2 writing program. It's a 3 part program starting with handwriting, then copy work, then composition. Starting in section 2 they also add in AAS level 1.

It looks like it shows the basics of how to write a paragraph, good sentence structure and grammar sprinkled throughout.

I'm actually thinking of getting it this week, scrapping what we're doing and doing this for the next 3-4 weeks of school till summer break. I'd love reviews if anyone has used it. I know their resources for older students have gotten great reviews. And I really think I've done a disservice to dd1 this year, by not knowing how to teach her these things. (I have been following Sonlight's LA1 -- I don't think it's a bad program, but I'm not pleased with dd's lack of ability to write on her own and atrocious spelling -- even though we're almost done with AAS 1).
