ISO: vegetarian/vegan slow cooker recipe

I tried a chili yesterday, not what i was hoping for, tasted like tomato bean stew instead of chili. It's good on my potato for lunch though

so anyways, i need to try somethin else.
here's the one i did yersterday
# 1/2 green pepper, chopped
# 1 can diced tomatoes
# 1 can tomato sauce
# 1 can kidney beans
# 1 can some other kind of beans (I used red)
# 1 clove garlic, chopped
# 1/2 med onion, chopped
# 1/4 tsp salt
# 1/4 tsp pepper
# 2-3 tsp chili powder

Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.

Sounds like you have too much moisture/liquid in the recipe. Slow cookers don't like a lot of water if you're looking to avoid soup. I would make sure you drain all the beans and canned tomatoes. Okay I just found my slow cooker recipe for chili -

Chili
2 cans of beans of your choice (well drained and rinsed)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 med onion
3 cloves of garlic (mashed)
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp chili powder
2 large tomatoes
2 tbs tomato paste
1/2 red bell pepper chopped
1 can (4oz) diced green chilies
shedded cheese (if not vegan)
salt to taste

Heat skillet and toast the cumin seeds until they begin to pop (about 2-3 mins). Add cayenne pepper and paprika and cook for 1 min (NOTE: very volatile so have the fan running ) To the beans in the slow cooker, add the toasted spices and the onion. Mix mashed garlic with the dry mustard and add to bean mixture. Add chili powder. Seed and chop tomatoes and add to pot with tomato paste, pepper, and green chilies. Set cooker to low and allow 3-4 hours. Before serving, add shedded cheese. Taste and salt if desired.
