But will you take one with 3 cream of soups?

Mexican Chicken (I can't make this up)
1 can co mushroom soup
1 can co celery soup
1 can co chicken soup
1 onion chopped
1 whole fryer, boiled and deboned
1/2 bag of Doritos

Oh dear. LOL!

Lay Doritos on bottom of casserole, mix all the gloopy SAD soups together and pour over chips. Grate cheddar cheese (doesn't say how much) over mixture, add chips. Bake until cheese is melted. Serve hot jalapeno sauce with this dish.

I'm starting to realize why this cookbook isn't world famous

How about cantaloupe? That's kind of similar

Cantaloupe Chicken Salad

2 C cooked chicken, cut in chunks
1/2 C diced celery, and the same diced apple
2 sliced green onions
2 T diced walnuts
1/3 C mayo
3 T plain yogurt
1 T dijon mustar
1 t. chopped fresh parsley
1 cantaloupe, halved and seeded

Combine chicken in bowl with celery, apple, green onion, and walnuts. Mix mayo with yogurt, mustard, and parsley and add to chicken mix. Line cantaloupe halves with small lettuce leaves, heaping chicken salad in centers.

Oh, tough.

BBQ chicken baste

1 16 oz can purple plums
1/4 lemon juice
1/4 c salad oil (no idea...LOL)
2 T brown sugar
1/2 t. fresh ginger
1/2 C chopped onion

Pit and puree plums, combine with remaining ingredients, simmer 15 min. Makes 2 C sauce.

2 chicken fryers, cut into quarters, brushed with oil and placed over coals for about 5 minutes to sear; turn. Brush with plum baste and turn every 3 minutes, brushing with baste at every turn. Cooking time is about 40 min.

It sounds really good but probably not that easy

K, I can vouch for these being delicious

Korean chicken wings

3/4 C soy sauce
3 T sugar
1/2 t ginger
1 T garlic minced
3/4 t. black pepper
1 lb chicken wings

Cut wings into niblets. Mix all other ingredients and pour 1/2 over chicken in large ziplock bag. Marinate for 2 hours. Remove and let come up to room temperature. Broil at 450 for 7 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, thicken remaining sauce with 1 t. cornstarch, and pour over finished chicken or serve on the side.

Another one of my favorites...it is totally comfort food.

Milk Baked Chicken

Cut up a fryer chicken or random pieces to your liking. Mix up 2 C flour, 1/4 C pepper, 1 T cayenne, 2 T garlic powder and dredge chicken. Place chicken in casserole dish large enough so they are not crowded. Cut up butter, about 1/2 stick, in small pieces and scatter over chicken. Almost cover the chicken with milk and bake at 300 degrees until chicken is tender and gravy thickened. This takes about an hour if you use boneless...almost 2 hours if you use bone in. Serve with rice

Well done!

I've never heard of canned plums, but they're almost sure to have ascorbic or citric acids (corn) as a preservative. Do you think the recipe would turn out ok if I used fresh fruit and olive oil instead of salad oil? Or would that offend your mom?
