Would it be totally inappropriate?

To put a "Make a Joyful Noise" wooden decoration in the bathroom?

It's kind of country-esque. Has birds on it and a banner that has the "Make a Joyful Noise" on it.

I've had it awhile and just can't find a place to put it!

I think it'd be fine.

We're on the other end of the spectrum and have a beautiful, hand-painted Kinkade on the wall above the commode. I can't decide if that's offensive or not...

I guess it depends on who lives in or is visiting your house. If that's your sense of humor, I say put it up!

I have a sneaking hunch that the only people who would notice the...ahem...odd juxtaposition of reference points would be those who would find it amusing. :P

My mother has this problem. Her guest bathroom is decorated with frogs (pictures, wallpaper, figurines, etc), mostly green. But then there's a blue plaque over the counter that has the saying about different composers giving us God's whatever and God giving us music.

Maybe now that she has a piano, she'll move the plaque into the living room.

But "Make a joyful noise"...my DH would probably fall off the toilet laughing at that one.

Put it up!
