Re: May 2020 Dinners
We're having puled pork from the Crock Pot. Slaw if I remembered to buy a cabbage.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
I hear you on the complaining. It's not nearly as bad now that they are older. My rule was that they could have one meal they hated & I wouldn't make them eat. For ds, for a long time it was burritos. My girls don't like seafood. They have persmission on those nights to make themselves a sandwich or a bowl of cereal. Nothing fancy but still fed.
I hated meatloaf as a child. I can remember being made to stay at the table until I ate or bedtime came. Not doing that. Tonight is shredded bbq chicken and coleslaw.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
Tonight we had this https://www.lecremedelacrumb.com/ins...rk-tenderloin/ with white rice and canned carrot slices, cooked (heated) in butter with a little bit of brown sugar. Sooo good!

It’s sensory and I remember being forced to eat beans as a child so I won’t force that. If they try it (the meal) and don’t like it, they have the option of PBJ or ham and/or cheese sammich. I try to get them to at least taste it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: May 2020 Dinners
Tonight is Zuppa Toscana in the IP. It's been raining and thundering today so we wanted comforting warm soup.
Tomorrow probably burgers & brats. Monday, probably Tuscan spaghetti squash casserole.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
We ended up with meatball soup because it was fast and the children were going to melt down before I could get chicken and dumplings made.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
Pasta with red sauce.
Normally I make beef for ds to add to pasta (and I or dh might as well) but beef prices were so high. I told ds no beef this week and he was totally that's cool so - yay for maturity. I will make zucchini noodles for myself instead of pasta and everyone else will put the noodles on their pasta too.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
The Birthday Girl chose steak and baked potatoes for dinner tonight. No veggie, but I think I can sneak in a salad.

Re: May 2020 Dinners
It got a bit chilly so I made soup and sandwiches - Tomato Bisque and 3-cheese grilled cheese.

My kids love that kind of dinner! What do you put in your sauce?
