My coconut oil has a VERY strong coconut smell
In the past it has always had a very mild smell... This time it is REALLY strong smelling. Same brand I always buy... Does that indicate it's gone "off" or is that just my pregnancy hormones playing tricks on me?

I think it's probably that your nose is more sensitive. |

Re: My coconut oil has a VERY strong coconut smell
I would say it's pregnancy. I loved it when I was pregnant this time. I use it as lotion, too.

Re: My coconut oil has a VERY strong coconut smell
If it's natural unrefined coconut oil it may just be a variation in the coconuts--I've found that natural products vary a lot more than factory-produced stuff. It could also be hormones--my sense of smell is about twice as acute as normal during the 1st trimester. Good stuff smells very good and bad stuff smells .

Re: My coconut oil has a VERY strong coconut smell
Then I agree with others and say it's the sensitive sense of smell that comes with pregnancy.
Also noticed with mellifera said...there does seem to be a variation among natural unrefined oil..in my experience anyway. |
