Default how do i sprout my almonds?

i tried for the past 2 days..i soaked them for a good 15 hours...overnite but then forgot them and let them soak a bit longer.....i also put them in the fridge....don't know if i should have done that.....
then i let them sit in my strainer with a towel over them in my microwave (not on of course)
i tried one and my kids and i ate them all
they never sprouted was like, 1000 times better than regular raw almonds.....

but i want to sprout them....can anyone help?
i've looked on sites online but can't really see a good plan.

no advice, but LMK what you find out! I just sprouted for the first time - I used lentils on a tray with holes poked in it (the disposable kind yu buy for brownies & stuff) I just rinsed & drained twice a day after the initial overnight soak. I don't know about almonds though.

You should only get a tiny sprout on them anyway. I've never had a problem with almonds. In fact, they always sprout too much before I use them. Perhaps they got too dry in the drainer. Mine have sprouted in the fridge when it was too hot to leave them out. You can see a white tip on the almond and when you crack it open there is a fine white sprout. There is no green. Sprouting improve digestion, lowers fat content, and adds enzymes.

I rinse almonds a few times a day when I sprout them. I just keep rinsing and sprouting them till it happens. It's different when the weather changes. If it's humid you have to rinse ALOT more to avoid mold. Don't ever let them get really dry. They should always have that plumbness to them.

I know. I always soak a couple of cups and put them in the fridge. I forget to make milk by the time they are all gone. Have you tried making milk yet? It's so much better than the store bought stuff.

seriously? It's better than store-bought? BEcause I really like the store bought chocolate almond milk. I expected it to be really watery, for some reason, like rice milk. I was pleasantly surprised. How do I make chocolate almond milk?

I thought I read somewhere that if you soaked them for 12 hours they would sprout. I understood it to mean that they had to be immersed in the same water for the whole time. I'll go check.

Here is a website that I found:

http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/almond.html

I am currently reading Carol Alt's book Eating In The Raw and she has a chart in her book about sprouting things. Here is her Raw website:

http://www.rawnutrition.com/

I hope that helps!
