23. No posts harshly dissecting parenting moments of others since we desire to humbly cultivate a heart attitude of grace and not judgment towards other mamas. We all struggle at times as parents and have much to learn, and GCM's focus is to provide tools and information for each of us to parent more effectively. Posts voicing some frustration regarding choices made by others can be okay, but it needs to be within the overall context of seeking understanding or ideas for better responses in the future.
I've been posting in support. I wasn't raised in a quasi-cult, but some of what she said really resonated with where I remember being as I began my journey of healing. I hope I was able to say something helpful.
I thought your comments were definitely helpful! I hope she is able to come and check out the gentle discipline forum at some point. I wasn't even raised very punitively and it has changed my entire paradigm. I can't even imagine living through what she and so many other ATI women have.
I find myself thinking about her throughout my day all the time now and saying a prayer for her.
