After 2 years of my mom pressuring me, and me saying NO MORE kitchen appliances, I caved and bought a rice cooker. It was on a super sale, so really cheap. I had used my mom's and found it so easy, and the rice was always great. I just used it tonight, and again, perfect rice.

So now I'm a bit creeped out. How does it know?

Are there little men in there telling it when to shut off?

Anyone do any fun cooking in a rice maker?

It's magic.

I'm guessing it has something to do w/ the spring in the center. The heavier the pot is, the longer it cooks?

That's my theory anyway. However it works, I love it! (although, i haven't tried anything other than rice in it.)
