the Pearls
I am contemplating and praying about starting a website or a blog similar to ezzo.info only for the Pearls stuff. People have asked about it here before, and in light of the recent death of a child, maybe it's about time for that. I do know that I'd need to pray very hard because this punitive stuff gets into your veins even as you are repulsed by it when you read it. Please pray for me as I consider doing this website.
Thanks Tammy

Re: the Pearls
It's a solemn undertaking. Whenever I've started putting together info like this, a dark cloud seems to descend on my home. It didn't take me long to decide I just needed to put the books away in a dark, remote drawer.
Maybe sometime in the future when my emotional, physical, and especially spiritual resources are more renewed... Pray and proceed carefully. |

Re: the Pearls
Something like that would be very helpful. I've found a lot of articles/writings concerning the Ezzos but not much about the Pearls. It woudl be nice to have a section that would just have direct referenced quotes from their books, etc. and then those quotes refuted. That way when talking to a Pearl person we could "quote" directly from their own material.
You have a very good idea.

Re: the Pearls
It would be nice to have a centralized place to keep this type of stuff!

Re: the Pearls
Don't forget to ask for testimonies of failed "Pearl-ites" -- kind of like the Ezzo site. See, right now, every Pearl family has been a 'success' -- and it's what they push so hard. I think it's time to shed some realistic light upon that misconception.

Re: the Pearls
I will pray about it then...but if God wills it, it will have to be after I finish doing my NYS taxes. I did the federal ones, but the state ones are 4 pages long, ugh. Ah well, render unto Caesar the things that belong to Caesar...

Re: the Pearls
I know.......
......do to DH's military pension, income from N.C. and from Oregon, we had to get a tax guy to help us. We have 2 states to file in, put federal. Don't know if we'll get anything back this year. Gotta pay the tax guy some $$ too. all around. Everyone get a because tax season ends in less than a month.

Re: the Pearls
Thanks, QuiltinGramma,
When we first moved to NY, we paid someone to do our taxes. Now I do them myself...dh doesn't have the patience to do them. I'll be so glad when they're done and dh can no longer say "that's ALL we're getting back???"

Re: the Pearls
I think this is a wonderful idea and I will for you as you decide whether or not this is something you want to do. I agree, though, that it can be very difficult to work on this stuff, even if you're just critiquing it. I read TTUAC (online) just for the purpose of discussion and critique (I went into it knowing that it was an swful book) and I had to do some major, major detox to get it out of my system. I think the Pearls are so incredibly manipulative with their words. If getting people to follow them is their goal, they are definitely good at what they do, unfortunately!

Re: the Pearls
I opened a 2nd xanga account concerned_mama I haven't put any blogs in it as of yet, but will probably keep them private at least at first...But once it's public, I'll let you all know. taxes still aren't done yet...
