So if I were a 16 y/o new driver?
What would you teach about having a sunroof in the car? I've never had anything this nice to take care of before.

Re: So if I were a 16 y/o new driver?
I'm confused as to what specifically you are asking. Do you have a teen who purchased a car with a sun roof?
My parents had a sun roof in their vehicle when I was a new driver. I guess the only thing I learned about it was to close it when parking.

I'm as inexperienced as a 16 y/o as far as this goes. My family has always had really inexpensive vehicles.

Re: So if I were a 16 y/o new driver?
ah ok. I get it.
Ummm... I've never owned a nice car either... All old vehicles.... But like I said, my parents owned an old vehicle with a sun roof. Close when parking? Close in the rain? Pitiful, but that's all I have to offer.

Re: So if I were a 16 y/o new driver?
I'm confused as to what there is to teach about a sunroof. My cars through college and early parenting all had sunroofs and now my SUV does again. It's something Inlook for in a vehicle. But there was never anything extra to know. It's a window. In the roof. It opens and closes and if it's nice it vents too without having to be all the way open. Close it sun it rains and is dark out? Wear sunscreen?

OK, so no special care of the seals or things to watch before leaks?

And what if you live in a Hail State?

Re: So if I were a 16 y/o new driver?
Not that I'm aware of. I've had a few cars with sunroofs and never had a problem with them leaking. They weren't new cars either.
We do get hail on ocassion form spring to fall but I've not had any Windows break because of it. There was a huge hail storm here two years ago but it was lighter on my side of the little mountains. The other side had serious damage. |
