a rare playful parenting moment win

we were camping last week and the first night at bedtime we had just turned off the lantern and G got scared. He said he was afraid of a moose coming and running on the tent and killing us. We are nowhere near moose!! There have been nights when I would have just told him there are no moose and to go to sleep. However, a spark of inspiration hit. I told him I hope a moose comes. Didn't he know about the breakfast moose who comes and brings doughnuts hanging from his antlers? G and Z both thought this was hilarious and we joked about it a bit more and then fell asleep.

We've been home for a few days but several times Z has (totally unprovoked) put a blanket over his head, held his arms up like antlers and run around the house yelling 'doughnut moose'! which is really rather adorable.
