if you make a lot of muffins
what do you use for muffin liners? just the regular old ones? do you get them cheaper/in bulk from somewhere? or maybe if i had a really good muffin pan i wouldn't need them??

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
I use silicone. DH got me two dozen and they work awesome! I just have to be careful to remember if I bring goodies to the neighbors to get my liners back.

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
As long as my muffins (GF) had enough fat in them I can get away with buttering (or palm shortening ) my tins. generally I buy the liners at the $1 if I find a decent sized pack or I buy the cheapest ones I can find at the grocery store.

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
I always seem to find them on clearance for really cheap after the holidays at grocery stores and places like Hobby Lobby. We might have Christmas muffin liners in July, but it works, and it's cheap

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
what kind of tins do you have? and when i don't use liners just butter, the tins are always such a pain to clean! i like to just throw it in the dishwasher but they don't come out clean so then you have to scrub each one!

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
If you make a lot of muffins, then everyone will want to eat them and if they eat the muffins, they will want milk to go with the muffins, and then if they want milk they will see that you don't have any milk so then you will have to go to the grocery store to get more milk. If you decide to go to the grocery store, then the kids will go with you and they will find lots of other things that they NEED from the grocery store that you will have to buy. So, if you make a lot of muffins, it will cost you a whole lot of money in groceries.
I don't usually use liners with muffins, only with cupcakes. But , I made some muffins that were the scrambled egg kind and they stuck to the muffin tins terribly so I guess I would want to use liners or silicone muffin pans. I had some silicone liners once, but they were grooved like the paper ones - and they were a total pain to clean out all the little grooves so I got rid of them. That was years ago. I don't know if they make smooth ones or if the new ones clean easier.

I use http://www.amazon.com/PaperChef-7006.../dp/B003X5DW6S we are gluten free so every thing is much more prone to sticking.

I have one of these and everything slides right out. The downside is that it has a really wide lip and a second one wouldn't fit in my oven. (so I just use it along with an older pan for big batches)

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
We used to go through an insane amount of liners. I actually stopped making muffins for a while because I didn't want to spend any money on liners but I hate cleaning muffin tins. Then last weekend I found a Pampered Chef stoneware muffin maker at a yard sale for $10! I had been wanting one for a long long time. I have made muffins almost everyday this week. I really need two more for my brood, but I have been making do with an extra 6 ceramic muffin holder that I got at the Thrift store years ago. So just a dozen and a half muffins at a time, but good enough for now.

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
I have a stoneware muffin pan and don't use liners or any sort of "grease."

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
Foil liners from Target for about $1/box. I don't like paper ones, because my GF muffins are too wet for them and they stick. I would like to try some silicone ones though.

Re: if you make a lot of muffins
I have had my gf muffins stick in the silicone, that is how I ended up with the parchment paper.
