Re: Bulletproof Coffee
When I have bp coffee for breakfast, I'm not hungry for food food then, and I'll just eat an early-ish lunch.
I don't find that the coconut oil adds any coconut flavor at all, and the butter makes it nice and creamy. Oh, and I just use regular old coffee, and regular butter when I don't have any grassfed

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I'm going to have to try this. In the morning I make a (raw milk) latte, but sometimes in the afternoon I want coffee, but not the sugar of the milk. I bet blending it works awesome.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I use half and half with or without it, but use less when I remember the fats. It is really rich and creamy tasting. I used to put sugar in my coffee and did not miss it when I started with this.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I just started. It's so fatty and delicious. I read 2 cups of coffee, 1-2 TBSP of coconut oil, 2-6 TBSP of butter. Pretty wide ranges. I drizzled in maple syrup yesterday. Today, just a sprinkle of cinnamon. I left it in the car and it got hard on top like gravy.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I just have the coffee for breakfast. I am usually not hungry in the morning, and even if I am, the coffee is satisfying, and I am usually not hungry until lunch time.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I drink tons of bulletproof coffee. Every day and I still eat breakfast. But not much breakfast. Maybe 1 egg or something small like one sausage link. I need fats and protein. I feel so calm since starting this. I think I'm finally getting enough fats in my diet!
My recipe 16 ounces coffee 1/8 C coconut oil A big blog butter A splash vanilla Sweetener lately I've been using organic sugar cuz it's cheap Compared to maple syrup I use my vitamix. I use organic everything but butter. I use best butter I can afford

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I've been wanting to try this, but I had been told it was gross if you didn't use a blender, and there's no way I'm bothering with a blender every morning. Maybe I'll try just a bit of CO to start and work up from there.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I can't figure out why you need a blender. Your coffee should melt everything so that you can stir it in without any work.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
The blender whips the fats into a frothy latte. much more palatable than oil sitting in oil slick-like swirls on top of my coffee. it feels luxurious and kind of naughty.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
Okay, I see now. Pre coffee, I don't care. I just want the caffeine in me before someone gets hurt.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I forgot to add that in addition to being calmer (which is most important cuz my anxiety), my skin and lips are so soft and my hair is so much healthier
When I stop drinking it, I totally feel different emotionally and physically.

Re: Bulletproof Coffee
I thought the blender would be a hassle too, but it's really not.
