Re: Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
For those who have ordered from plant therapy... I see that they offer a 5% discount if I subscribe to an item... If I decide after I get the first one that I do not want to subscribe, is it easy to just cancel the reorder?

If you want a good start up set Eden has them on Amazon for a really good deal. Just look around and get a starter set at first.

Re: Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
I am uncertain about "subscribing" or rather cancelling a subscription.
My first set of P.T. I got thru Amazon....my kidsafe set, i got right from P.T. A heads up, when you order through p.t. You accumulate points you can redeem towards additional product: http://www.planttherapy.com/reward-points That, alone, makes me wish I'd ordered my 1st set through them...even though it's not a HUGE savings! In Dec. they ran all kinds of great promotions, too! Hopefully they'll cont. to throughout the year!

I ordered through them because they offered $10 off your first order if I subscribed to their newsletter. Absolutely!

Re: Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
Usually in December and July, Plant Therapy has their monthish of sales. This is their Facebook group that has lots of good stuff on it.
I like Real Aromatherapy Reviews & More and Blue Tansy Analysis for finding out about different companies and oils. FYI, Eden's Garden is on the 'not worth your time' list for mislabeled products, and poor customer service related to that type of issue. I really want to try Nature's Gift and Stillpoint Aromatics. They have very good reputations and I believe Stillpoint you can get samplers.

Re: Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
Any idea if the Mountain Rose Herbs essential oils are any good? I'm looking for a specific type of oil and Plant Therapy doesn't make it.

I think Plant Therapy and Butterfly Express are both great options for non-MLM, affordable oils.
I LOVE my waterless Aromis diffuser. It is pricey and uses more oils, though. I also love our ZAQ galaxy and bamboo diffuser.

Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
Lea Harris from using EO's safely has been consulting with a company to have all safety info on the labels. I've not tried them, but if she endorses them I bet they at top notch. http://serenelivingoils.com/
As you can see it tells you the age that it is safe for as well as pet safety, pregnancy and nursing safety. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by sweetpeasmommy; 01-25-2016 at 10:14 PM. |

No. There's a lot of concerns about her stuff and her rating system. She's good at self-marketing and such, but ethics seems to not be her strong suit

Dr. Pappas doesn't seem to have the best ethics either. It ends up coming down to who you are willing to trust. Which is why you need to do research and not just listen to any one person or group.

Re: Essential oils -- what brand? Where to buy? Etc.
He has a lot more experience and qualifications and training in chemistry than Lea does. He's fairly open about not liking YL and liking DT (iirc), but they aren't the only ones he's talked about. I mean, she heavily promoted the Serene Living Oils and said they all passed her test and now she's withdrawing from them, saying that she isn't a chemist and can't read the GC/MS reports (which since she graduated from Aromahead Institute, was one of the first things they make them study). That's just all...not cool. And, I don't know if you were around when the big bruhaha happened on her page and all her original admins left because they lost trust in her. That was one of the first things that made me go whaaaa? And since then, she's not someone I follow or recommend.
Anyway, I'll stick with the proven small companies and see what I want to get from Stillpoint.
