Giving the kids a taste of their own medicine
Dd2 was helping me put sheets on the bed and when she was about to stretch a corner out, I yelled, "yay!" and belly flopped onto the bed.
What medicine have you given or will you be giving them a taste of?

Re: Giving the kids a taste of their own medicine
This isn’t on purpose, but ds2 (6) now takes our kitchen garbage out. He keeps saying “I feel like people are making garbage on purpose just to make my job harder” I told him I sometimes felt that way about the dishes and asked him if he was making dishes on purpose just to give me more work or if he was just eating. Of course he said he was just eating. Nice to see him contributing and understanding some of what it sometimes feels like to be me.

Re: Giving the kids a taste of their own medicine
Someone dumped off 4 tiny kittens, no mama a couple months ago. It’s been amusing watching the only child have to GYOB as they get into everything.

Re: Giving the kids a taste of their own medicine
My 12 year old gets tired of her 2 year old sister making the exact same messes she made 10 years ago. I'm so glad she has to help me clean them up this time around!

We have that, too. I especially like “if you leave that out, your sister may get into it. If she does, you have to clean up whatever mess she makes with it.”

Oh yes. Leaving their stuff out and the toddler getting into it. I feel your frustration. I encourage you to channel that frustration into PUTTING YOUR THINGS AWAY.

"Welcome to my world," I have been known to say to my 15 yr old!
