Montessori HS - Do you use test tubes/square root board/box of sticks?
I am looking at incorporating more Montessori into our homeschool, especially in maths and English - what we have done so far has produced some great results.
One of our local suppliers has a sale on at the moment, and I would like to know if anyone has used any of these materials. Have they been useful? Are they versatile (I am a home, not a school )? Do they have longevity? I am sometimes surprised at how long my kids use certain materials for - or don't. I have been eyeing off the test tube racks for a while. Are these boards (9x9) big enough to also use for multiplication and in place of the square root board? Or do I "need" the other board/s too? And have you used the box of sticks? Are they worth the cost? I was reading through albums and thinking about alternatives for this material, but it seems that they are used over and over so that it was going to get a bit crazy trying to find something else. Is that the case, or have you found something else? Thank you! Natalie

Re: Montessori HS - Do you use test tubes/square root board/box of sticks?
We did a tons of Montessori when my children were small so I never got as far as test tubes and square roots. If you have young children, these books are awesome
