how about a substitute for soy sauce?
![]() ![]() I've thought about maybe very condensed vegi broth? ![]() ![]() It would be such a huge help... If you know of a prepped one, please pass along the name. If not, maybe we can come up with a recipe for it. |

I read somewhere that molasses and vinager is a good soy sauce sub. I'll see if I can figure out where I read it.
Here it is. From http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.co...ch?q=soy+sauce For a soy sauce sub I use a dab of molasses in a little broth with a splash of balsamic vinegar, and Worcestershire. I might add some sea salt or red pepper spice. but doesn't Worchestershire have soy in it?

I would go with abbi's suggestion!.... Mine turned out yummy......but tasted more like an asian pesto.
![]() dh liked it...... and ds thought it was fun dumping it on the floor. ![]() dulse is a type of seaweed.... i actually didn't use it. Instead, i used 3 sheets of nori (another seaweed) |

I pulled out my book again tonight and got inspired.. it really is well put together.
However, I decided to go ahead and challenge Caleb with some legumes/peas since they are foundational ingredients. He reacted to chick peas instantly. ![]() |

Do any of you have the Gluten-Free Vegetarian Kitchen? I just got it from our new library. The recipes look good so far and they mark all the Vegan ones.
