What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd *Forget Wow, what can I make??*
I can't think of what to make for a dessert tonight.
DH does not want cookies or brownies. I am so out of ideas. I even looked at Pioneer Woman's blog and could not find anything I wanted to make. Inspire me!

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
My girlfriend that we're staying with right now made an amazing bread pudding with fresh blueberries (from left over biscuits!) yesterday. I'd suggest a bread pudding.

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
Jello cake
You take a white cake mix and bake it like normal, while also preparing any flavor of jello like normal (without chilling it). When the cake is baked and chilled, you poke holes in it and pour the jello mix over the top. Chill this for about an hour and top with whipped cream. You can also sprinkle nuts or coconut or decorate with fresh fruit on top. |

Blackberry cobbler I made.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Blackbe...-2/Detail.aspx FYI I think I used less sugar than the recipe calls for. Top with vanilla ice cream! |

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
We just got back from a vacation and I had the best dessert! It was fried donut balls sprinkled in sugar arranged in a circle around fresh mango sorbet. Then, to top it there was a simple fruit syrup made from strawberries, rasberries, and blueberries seasoned with cinnamon and anise.
It was amazing!! |

I love this chocolate pudding! http://www.therawtable.com/recipecoll/chocpudd.htm Even my addicted to processed foods friends loved it and had no idea it was made with avocado! Super yummy, although I suggest reducing the amount of agave you use by about 1/3 to 1/2, depending on your sweet tooth...

I like the More with Less pudding. You could pair that with bananas.
Chocolate fondue is fun. Dip pieces of fruit, marshmallows, angel food cake or pound cake (or donut holes if you want to be really "bad") peach cobbler w/ whipped cream (I have a great, easy recipe if you want it) apple crisp w/ vanilla ice cream fruit parfaits homemade milkshakes (if you freeze milk in ice cube trays, then add some liquid milk, cocoa powder, and sugar, it makes great chocolate milkshakes

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
Hmmmm, those all sound so good!
I have a bit of a problem in that I can't get to the grocery store. I will have to forget the "wow" and just go with "Yum", yet somewhat creative for DH. This is what I have: 3 eggs one shortbread ready crust 3 packages of cream cheese lots and lots of unsweetened chocolate about 1 cup butter cocoa both cake and regular flour frozen raspberries 1/2 pint of whipping cream instant coffee vanilla and chocolate pudding mixes lemons peanut butter semisweet, white and butterscotch chips white, yellow, and chocolate cake mixes oil Certainly I can make something with all of that! But the 3 eggs is somewhat limiting to me. DH will not want to serve anything vegan, LOL. I don't have time to make a cheesecake.

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
He'd love it! But I think that cheesecake takes longer than I have, right? It has to cool and be refrigerated overnight, right? Plus, I don't have any graham crackers of cookies to make a crust.

Re: What is the Last Dessert that Wow'd you?
it's been so long since I made a cheesecake, I don't know.
What about mini-size (cupcake size) cheesecakes? |
