Re: vegetarian/vegan with no convictions?
We are not vegetarian/vegan, but we try to eat vegetarian meals frequently as an environmental/health/budgetary thing.

Re: vegetarian/vegan with no convictions?
I became dairy free when ds was allergic through my milk...I had wanted to be vegetarian for awhile, because I felt spiritually convicted for quite some time. I finally did and it was amazing how healthy I felt! So I mainly did it for health and spiritual reasons. Then, I felt continued urging to be vegan, (I had added dairy back in my diet after awhile and ds wasn't so bothered by it). Plus, I saw the movie Earthlings and started reading up on the ethical reasons and how animals are treated...so I became vegan. I felt better than ever....then I lost a baby and started eating some dariy again adn feel HORRIBLE. So now I'm back to vegan. Mostly for spiritualy, health, and some ethical reasons.
However, I do own leather items (shoes, belts, etc) and I don't think much about it...I pretend my Robeez come from seitan, ok? |

Re: vegetarian/vegan with no convictions?
My son is sensitive to dairy although he seems to be outgrowing that now. When he was little he had dreadful allergies and was taking claritin and using nose spray and would still get sick a lot. Then a chiropractor did the kinesthetic testing on him when he was 5 and she told us to cut out all milk products and we did and he got so much better! We were able to take him off of all of the allergy medications and he has not needed them since then except for very rarely when the pollen count is really high.
So, I have tried to avoid milk products for years to care for him, but we have not cut them out completely and we have added some back into his diet and he seems to be doing ok with it.

Re: vegetarian/vegan with no convictions?
I think the best thing to do would be prayer. It's ok to be a meat eater. And it's ok to be a vegan. And you don't need strong convictions either way. Just pray and see where you're led.
