you know what? what bothers me, is that even IF his methods were ok... that kind of response... i don't even have words.

an intelligent person, when met with concerns and critics, makes an effort to answers those concerns and critics intelligently.. NOT laugh in their faces.

And, by the way, Africa is not a country. Is that the kind of homeschooling error he advocates "chastisement" for?

It doesn't seem like he's responding to the Schatz case at all, rather that he's just responding to the naysayers.

Either way, I'm not fond of how he chooses to do it.

I think he's trying to be insulting, but it just comes off as a little unbalanced. Maybe I'm too quick to extend grace to my fellow man, but I really can't be insulted if I tried. I guess I should be insulted at laughing at suffering, but he's not being clear enough for me to be anything but confused. I think he has some kind of assumptions about traits (jealousy?) his critics may have that would have to be true before someone could be insulted. Maybe his followers get it a little better, but they'd have to know what those underlying assumptions are first, too.
