Vegetarian Marshmallows
Are they good?
We are going camping with friends over the 4th and dd was asking about them tonight. I looked at some on Amazon because it's drive to the nearest place that might sell them and if I could get them with my next amazon order that would be great. They are expensive! At least on Amazon. But with gas being almost $4 a gallon and having almost an hour drive to the store it might be worth it if they are good.

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
We buy them here for $5/bag....and we love them. I like them better than regular ones. More tasty less airy. (Although its been years since i had regular ones and you know how it goes, just ask my friend who believed me tempeh maple flavoured was better than bacon!) I wish I know the brand, but they are gmo free and no HFCs either worth the money IMO! Since my kids would eat the conventional kind if I don't have options for them.

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
Thanks! I guess we'll try them. They are $11 for 10 oz bags on Amazon. But I'd be paying more than $5 in gas to get some. And we have prime...so there...I've justified it.

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
Make sure if you have any left in the bag you seal it up real good with a ziplock bag because they go stale faster than regular marshmallows .

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
Thanks for the tip! But I highly doubt there will be any left.

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
Sorry to bump such an old thread , but did you end up getting them and did you like them? What kind did you get? We tried Dandies marshmallows when we went camping earlier this year and really liked them. My mom was able to get them for a really good price, but it was just for the mini marshmallows, and so we toasted mini marshmallows over the campfire. It was great, though! We put them in hot cocoa, too. They were so yummy.

Re: Vegetarian Marshmallows
We ended up buying the Dandies brand from Amazon. We loved them. We roasted them over the fire several times this year and also added them to hot chocolate. Yum!! I don't really remember what regular marshmallows taste like, but these have to be better because I didn't care much for them before!
