Re: Walmart Discipline Experience.
That scripture always reminds me of the time I bought coffee for all the guys at the gas station - there's this place I go when it's winter where they fill it up so I don't have to get out when it's 40 below. They have to be out there and the booth isn't big enough for more than one person and they had 4 on shift. So before I went and got gas I bought coffee and gave it to the guys when I left.
The Boy asked me why I did that, and I quoted that Scripture and told him 'I don't think they'd like water on a day like today! But I gave that to them because God is good to us and we like to share His love with others.' He very solemnly pronounced: "You didn't tell them it was for Jesus, so it doesn't count." FTR, I'm pretty sure it counts even if you don't say 'this is because of Jesus' Because I'm sure that woman was acting as God's hands in that moment |

Re: Walmart Discipline Experience.
I am so glad this thread got bumped because I missed it last month. What an amazing, powerful story! I have a scream-y meltdown-prone child, too. This is a tool and a concept I needed to hear for myself.

Wow! that was so beautiful, what that employee did and how everything worked out. Shopping with kids can be so stressful.
