Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Tonight is slow cooked beef goulash in my new slow cooker....because the other one has been nothing but trouble since we got it 18 months ago and it finally stopped working. So I got my birthday present early

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Grilled Salmon Kabobs, tahini sauce, rice, grilled balsamic mushrooms, strawberry spinach salad. It felt like a lot of work, but it was really good and the kids loved it, so I'll call it a win.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Last night was Pesto Chicken and Pasta with a salad. Night before was Butter chicken over basamati rice and salad and banana pudding.
I went on a mission trip last week and had to avoid this thread. The food was so horrible. SAD diet to the extreme.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Tuesday was Italian Top 40 Night - Caprese Salad, Minestrone in the IP, and Chicken Italian sausages. Tiramisu (traditional and a GF Raspberry variation) for dessert.
Wednesday we had Orange Chicken with broccoli, red peppers and snow peas, plus a cucumber salad made by Tertia. No dessert, which was a clear disappointment to the youngers. It has cooled off considerably, so tonight I'm actually using the oven. I'm making a THM Chicken Mushroom casserole, but, fearing mutiny, I've decided to sub out the mushrooms and use a zucchini fresh from the garden. Garden-fresh salad greens and cucumbers on the side.

Coconut chicken curry in the IP (served over rice) with sauteed carrots and broccoli on the side.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Four-hour slow cooker whole chicken (with potatoes, celery, carrots and onion), beets. I may make gravy with the pan juices if I have time.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
We're leaving for the weekend right after dinner, so it's salmon burgers from the freezer and salad greens I picked this morning. Probably kale chips as well, because we picked an enormous mount of that, too.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
We had hotdogs and fresh fruit.
Except apparently DD doesn’t like hotdogs? What kid doesn’t like hotdogs?! So now she’s eating scrambled eggs... and tipping her bowl of them up to her face and drinking them... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Vegetable soup loosely based on this recipe. I added jalapeno sausage to make it more hearty and tweaked the veggies based on what I had on hand.
