Re: Anyone have a Samsung fridge?
I love my French door fridge. At ECing Mam’s suggestion, I got Ikea Trofast bins for drawers. We have a frozen fruit drawer, a frozen veg drawer, and an other drawer (usually meals I have prepared and frozen).

Re: Anyone have a Samsung fridge?
We have had our new fridge for about 18 months. The previous Kenmore we had lasted us for 23 years.
I bought some cheap bins to hold items on the freezer shelf since it was a wire basket and my daughter says, I way overload it. LOL She fusses at me each time she has to go into it, but our big chest freezer is in the basement........and I hate going down there. LOL The French doors are really nice for getting larger things in to quickly cool on the shelves. (I used to do cakes, and I would have loved to have one of these for sheet cakes.) The man that sold me our fridge at Lowes said, 'don't expect this one to last as long as your last one.' No one in our area works on Samsung or LG, so that is why I was looking at Whirlpool. |

Re: Anyone have a Samsung fridge?
We ordered a Whirlpool. Dh found out he has a friend that works for Whirlpool and he got a "friends and family" discount code. He picked one out and we got it for less than Home Depot is selling it right now. At least we should be able to get parts and repair service, if needed.

Re: Anyone have a Samsung fridge?
My shrug was for him, not you.
We agreed to wait when we saw the bad reviews on Samsung and LG. When he got that discount on a Whirlpool, we decided to go ahead. He hates our fridge It really doesn't work well, logistically, for our family but it could if more of us made an effort. It's just really hard to find things, being a side-by-side. |

Re: Anyone have a Samsung fridge?
We just decided we should get a new fridge. We go through a small family owned appliance store, it's a little more costly up front but they provide service if something goes wrong.
Our fridge still works. I don't love it, and I wouldn't bother replacing it except for the fact that electricity is going way up and this thing was made in 1979. I estimate I could save probably 75% of the current cost of running a fridge. I'm just not excited about getting rid of something that works, and replacing it with something probably won't last as long. |
