Vitamin K2 drops for babies
So we didn't get the Vit K shot at birth, we were going to do the oral drops, but we couldn't find a protocal at birth for the brand that we bought. A bit of a fail on my part, i should have been more prepared, and i wasn't. my MW emailed the dr she knows that has a protocal and got the right one, but that was almost a week ago now. I still haven't given any to my baby, and shes 9 days old now! crazy..anyways, i meant to give it to her every day, but it just slipped my mind or i gotbusy with the other 3.
So my question is, in the protocal it says to give a larger dose at birth, then some every day. Should i skip that initial large dose and just go straight to the daily doses? or should i give the first dose like it says? |
