Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
And....I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet...if you add the optional nuts, does that mean it'll be a boy?

Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
OK, so, if you double the recipe, in order to make them thicker, you still just make them in the 9x9 pan, right?

Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
mmmmmm...buttery.....chocolatey.....that's all I require
Mollobe...... that was a good one.... May have to try these tomorrow. I'll be doing some baking for a friend's care basket anyway, so why not make more buttery sugary chocolatey goodness???? Maybe they make you go into labor because the enjoyable experience relaxes you and produces endorphins and somehow that makes your body ready to go ahead and start dilating, laboring, etc etc. I would be rEALLY interested to know if there is any science behind it (I was just thinking today about how I"m so interested in the science of food)

Ahem...
FTR, BlessedBlue made these when she was overdue and it did not send her into labor. She had some extenuating circumstances, but still. They were gluten-free, so that might have been the problem. Oh, and even without the nuts, he's definitely a boy!

Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
I made these tonight, now I'm just waiting for them to come out of the oven.
Of course, I don't have the excuse of being overdue or anything, because I'm the opposite of pregnant right now, but YUMMY anyway!

Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
I made these tonight - well, they're in the oven. I'm only 38.5 weeks, and I made them gluten & dairy free. We'll see if they have any effect.

Re: Decadent Birthing Brownies
I one-&-a-halved the recipe, and put them in an 8x8 pan
