Problems with tattler lids
Anyone use these? I tried them for the first time and I'm not sure what to think. I canned half pints of pear sauce. All billy one sealed. The next day I was lifting them up to show my dh how they worked and one was not sealed that had previously been sealed. I put it in the fridge and the next day it was so sealed that it was hard to open. I put the other jars in the cupboard but two more unsealed. I put them in the fridge and this morning ds took one out to eat and it reseated itself.
What is going on? I don't want to check these jars every single day! |

Re: Problems with tattler lids
I don't think I've ever used these. they aren't the ball brand ones with the rings and the inside lids? I wonder if you got the jars hot enough? I wish I could help. I kept reading the OP as "tattler kids" which was really confusing me, and even more because I am not familiar with them. Hopefully some one can be of more help.

Re: Problems with tattler lids
I also have a friend who swears by these. I've had a big ol' box of them that I bought after her recommendation. The box has been in storage for about three years though, and I've yet to use them. Supposedly you can re-use them many times, which is economical. But if the issue you're having is common, I'm not sure I want to go there!
Following along, and I hope you get some help from another GCM. If not, I'm happy to FB message my friend if you'd like.
