I ruined my solid cream Maya Wrap in the wash... can I dye it??
I KNEW better. I knew better.
I've kept this solid cream colored Maya Wrap in REALLY great shape for OVER 2 years - any avocado stain has been removed... any dirt or grime has come out easily and now.... ONE SILLY mistake in the wash and it's ruined. Tinted BLUE from my other Maya. I knew better. I should have washed them separately... but now... what's done is done. This Maya does have a rip/tear at the shoulder - so I knew I wouldn't be able to use it with the new babe once he gets big - but I love it so much. I used it DAILY with Reid until his birthday.... 2 whole years! It wasn't until after his birthday that I began letting him sit in the cart at the grocery store. Anyhow.... can I dye the Maya? How? What product? Where do I get it? I'm so bummin..... I love that silly sling!

I bet you could use Dylon dye on it and it would be really pretty.

Have you tried a Rit color remover? I've heard they work well.
I'm sorry! |

No, I'd rather restore the color than dye it. I'll look online for the Rit stuff. Thanks for the suggestions!!!

You should be able to find the color remover locally. I've seen it at Meijer and Wal Mart.

Great! I just Googled it and Walgreens popped up with a result... so I assume Target and Wal-Mart carry it too.

Nope, it's stained "baby blue". I tried to use the Rit color remover stuff, but it didn't work. Hubby says it looks fine. I'll just use it at home.
