How far would you drive?
My kids want to have an end of school year pool & bonfire party at their grandparents house. Guests would be between 10 & 15 years old. Grandparents house is 30 minutes from our home area that the guests are also from.
My questions. Would you drive your tween/teen 30 minutes to go to a pool party? How long would you want the party to be to make it worth the drive? How late would you be willing to pick up? Supervision would be plentiful. A qualified adult would always be on watch at the pool with first CPR/first aid cert and around the bonfire. |

Re: How far would you drive?
30 minutes? Yes, BUT, since my children's school "feeds" from the entire SE quadrant of our city, most parties are 15-20 minutes away in general. We're used to a drive.
How long? 3 hours? How late? 9-9:30 at the late end, I think. Maybe 10. |

Re: How far would you drive?
I would drive 30 minutes. If I wasn't staying I would want the party to last 3-4hours to make it worth the drive. 5-9:30 would be ideal (hypothetically) that way all the stragglers are gone by 10...and we're home by 10.
