I am literally laughing out loud at that last sentence. I needed that this morning.

I keep reading this as:

"Am I The Only One Afraid of Snapple?", and wondering if it's a funny spinoff from the "Are you offended by biscuits?" thread. I keep wanting to reply, "No, but whoopie pies are a great source of anxiety for me." Carry on.

I was terrified of them, but never needed them with my covers. Then I started using wool and I hate pins, so I tried a snappi and it is just fine! It's been about a year now and no ones ever gotten a scratch, not stepped on it, nothing. There are bad things that can possibly happen with everything, but snappis are not more overtly dangerous than any other random thing you use with your bebes.

My problem with snappis is that they would come undone at. The crotch and then snag my clothes when holding the baby

I've only used diaper pins, and liked them fine. I've wondered how much wear and tear the snappis cause to the prefolds. Do they get really raggedy in the spots the snappis attach to?

We love snappis! I still have my original 3 that I bought in 2004. I don't think they have worn out our prefolds.

I do think the crotch part is kind of useless and I even cut it off on one of them.

I've never had trouble with our snappis.

There's a new fastener on the market that is pretty cool. I have a few, and like them so far. http://www.boingobaby.com/

I didn't like them either.

I was at a local cloth diaper store this weekend and she showed me these awesome things called Boingos - they're like snappis but they look way nicer

Definitely worth checking out

Those look great! And do they not tear up your diapers over time?

The Boingos haven't damaged our diapers so far, but my new baby is only 3 weeks old, so I've only used them about 4 times. (we have a lot of different diapers, and I've been trying a little bit of everything)

I loved them for a long time. Then I sliced my finger a couple of times. I would much rather jab my finger (hurts for a short time) than slice it with the Snappi.

I'm terrified of stepping on a snappi. I managed to discover that it is in fact more painful than stepping on a lego, something I did not think was possible.
