Outside Activities?
What activities or lessons are your children involved with outside the home? How did you decide on what to involve them in?

Re: Outside Activities?
We do or have done various things. We may do more as the kids get older.
Generally music lessons, and then one sport or sport-type of lesson which varies depending on time of year. We also do Scouts. I'd love to find foreign language lessons and art classes, but that won't work for either time or budget right now. |

Re: Outside Activities?
Well, we don't have extra money to do too much right now... but right now they are in Awana, kids choir (both free) basketball/tball/soccer (depending on time of year, 8 weeks or so each) and 4-H (1 dollar every other week)
Once we get our credit cards paid off the three bigger girls will have a choice between some sort of music, dance, or gymnastics class (well, the two biggest will choose, the 3yo will take gymnastics.... and the other two will pick DD1-music and DD2 dance just because that's what they'll pick ) We've picked what they do now because of the low cost involved The other stuff later because we feel like we can have each of them in one long term active activity (4-H is long term, but not active) and not have too much on our plates. Quite honestly if DD1 wasnt interested in music that wouldn't be a choice because we feel we can give her that basis right now... and she might surprise us and do something more active. |
