would it be rude...
To pack Margaret a PB and j sandwich to have on our flight today.
Flying from here to Phx about 3pm have about an hour layover then going from Phx to DFW. It will be 9pm when we land though because of the time change... I'd like the girls to eat either between the two flights or have something on the plane from Phx to Texas. I don't want to be searching for safe (GF) and picky eater approved foods in an airport with limited time. She wont eat any other type of sandwich.

Re: would it be rude...
Rude? To whom? Isn't it recommended to pack food for a flight?

Re: would it be rude...
Oh! So it's not the food which is in question, it's the peanuts? Is there something else you could pack?

Guess you'd have to call and ask what the rules are.

Re: would it be rude...
We "can" but just wondering if it would be wise. I'm sure we could find something safe before boarding the second place, its jsut be easier on us to bring something from home. We have allergy safe "PB" when she went to preschool because of peanut bans but right now we just have regular stuff at home. I'll look and see if we can muster up something different...

Maybe you could find a safe place for her to eat and then wash her hands.

Are you flying south west? They still hand out peanuts as far as I know so you should be fine.

Re: would it be rude...
Sounds like you are perfectly within your rights to add peanut butter to that jelly sandwich.

Re: would it be rude...
I always pack snacks for flights, and I've never had issues with prepackaged foods...including peanuts. International flights can be trickier for entering another country with things like sandwiches and fresh veggies/fruit...but your list for a domestic flight should be fine. The 1L bag rule should include fruits and veggies, but not all security checkpoints are fussy about this. I will often pop a baggie of sliced veggies or an orange into my bag with liquids just in case there might be a problem with my carry on bag when it goes through the scanner.

Re: would it be rude...
I've been offered peanuts on almost every flight I've ever been on. Airplanes are not peanut free.
