Re: July suppers!
Possibly one of my "freezer meals" because I have to go into work to teach a class tonight & the kiddos have summer youth group-- unless I get inspired to do something else

Re: July suppers!
I sauteed some chopped chicken breasts, seasoned them with salt, pepper, basil, and parsley, and mixed them with canned navy beans (I mashed most of them) and a bag of shredded Italian blend cheeses. It turned out pretty good!
The boys and I had buttered cauliflower with ours, DH had buttered green beans.

Re: July suppers!
Soup of white beans and potatoes flavored with a hambone and sauteed onions, fresh homemade bread, choice of brownies or chocolate-chocolate-chip cookies.
And also: Loaded baked potato salad--I think they call it creamy potato salad in Canada--is good solid food on a very hot day; pair it with watermelon for a fast, cold square meal. But if you take that loaded baked potato salad and you zap it in your microwave, it turns into cheesy bacon potato casserole! I mention this because it was on sale at $0.99 per pound at my local Safeway the other day.
