Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
bumping for someone...
btw, my sister is in massage therapy school, and she was over monday to give me a massage... i remembered what you said, jodi, so i asked her if she ever used it, she said no. so i got my tub out for the massage - she loved it! she said it works really well (and she kept rubbing it on *her* hands and arms, too. ). i think she's going to order some.

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
I am trying to switch to it and my skin is better, my bowels are a-movin , but it's SO expensive when we have a family of 7. It's not like I want to keep the good stuff just for me and leave them the crud
Those of you who use it, do you use it for EVERYTHING? Or do you use it and other things also?

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
I ordered a gallon of Nutiva for $49.99 plus free shipping. Not exactly cheap, but considering I was spending close to 14 dollars for 16 ounces, it's a remarkable savings. I just got an email, today in fact, with the UPS tracking code for it. So I'm following my oil as it travels from California to TX.

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
I bought directly from nutiva. I had looked at a bunch of different places and the free shipping was worth it. (They say they offer free shipping on any order over $30.00) I've seen coconut oil for less, elsewhere, but you either have to pay out the nose for shipping or the oil wasn't raw virgin.

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
i've mainly used it to bake with my oatmeal, b/c I don't mind the coconut flavor in my oats. Oh I've baked with it in my bean cake before and it was good. I'm too afraid to use it in my eggs . i might try it in my smoothies though. it was $10 for a 1 pound jar of organic extra virgin co at the store. $$!

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
I couldn't taste it in eggs, but I didn't like it in cookies (I think I just missed the butter flavor).

Re: Talk to me about coconut oil
vitacost has great prices for the nutiva and they have a $4.99 flat fee shipping so I just placed my monthly order and included it.
