I'm watching food network and they just made bacon and onion rice. Never thought of that combo but it sounds ridiculously delicious. But lemon, rosemary, and butter sound good too.

Niether dd (vegetarian) nor I eat bacon.

Ok so the lemon, butter, rosemary was a big hit 4 out of 4 of us gave a big thumbs up. Def have to do that one again. and I just dumped it all in the rice cooker and when it was done I mixed it up before serving it.

But then I was all - well I don't want the exact same flavors for the fish as the rice. So I did a different. I got some marinade on google that also had ingredients I had on hand (soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon and garlic). Dh and dd liked it, I thought it was meh. Im going to make sure I get DILL next time Im doing fish.

Tomorrow - sour cream spinach enchiladas (chicken ones and pinto bean ones)

Last night I made gyros using the leftover donair meat (it’s exactly the same except spicier) and it was so much better. Dh had it for lunch and loved it.

We had leftover chicken and dumplings.
We also cleaned and cut up cherries from our CSA. They were delicious!!

I made Pioneer Woman's pinto beans, green salsa chicken in the IP, rice and spinach simmered in the sauce from the chicken and let everybody make their own bowls.

Do you have a recipe for this? I have never heard of it, but I love the flavor of gyro meat.

This is the video where I got the recipe. He disparaged and mispronounces gyro but the recipe/method is still good. I’ve read that if you mix up the meat and toss it into the bowl 20 or so times that it makes the texture smoother but I forgot to try it. Cut the pepper and cayenne down if you want it less spicy

Tonight, leftovers again. I think no one is currently going through a growth spurt. I tend to cook full meals and then double it. I have leftover: fish and rice, vegetarian chili (ds made it for lunch yesterday when I worked), both kinds of enchiladas.

Last night I made Chicken Pesto Strombolis with a spinach salad. The salad was a surprising hit, mainly because of the dressing...even with DS15! I just added some heirloom tomatoes, two slices of bacon, and one hardboiled egg.

Tonight we're having steak fajitas, cilantro lime rice, and a maybe a salad.

I found this recipe for Pork and Ricotta meatballs. I don't really eat pork, so I made them with ground turkey instead. I got Littlest to make Whole Wheat Biscuits and I've got a Basil Vegetable Tian to go with it. We'll see.......

I made Frito pie for dinner and we had gf/df banana pudding for desert. I opened a bagged salad too so it was healthy.
