Silverfish
Any tips for keeping silverfish away please? I've noticed several over the last few days and I'm worried the numbers are increasing I'd prefer something child-safe!

Re: Silverfish
They have silver fish traps but I don't know how child safe they are.

Re: Silverfish
I'm very soft in that I'd rather repel than kill - but if needs must!

Re: Silverfish
You can get the glue traps but your best bet is to dehumidify the area where you are seeing them and makes sure there isn’t any old newspapers lying around.

Re: Silverfish
This is what is confusing me. One place I'm seeing them is by the door, under the mat which will be dark and probably a bit damp. But the other place is under the oven, which shouldn't be damp at all!

Re: Silverfish
I need to look into doing something. We have them terribly, and I even see them often on my kitchen counter .

Re: Silverfish
I washed my kitchen door mats this morning - several silverfish scuttled out from under one of them I also got rid of a pile of newspapers and a few paper bags that I'd kept intending to reuse, though there was no sign of any there. Tomorrow I'm going to get some sealant and see if we can seal up the gaps between the skirting board and the floor, and I wondered about trying to get some silica bags or something to put under the kitchen units to try to keep them free from damp.

Re: Silverfish
I have neaver seen anything that says that it repells them. If you find something that works I would love to hear about it.
